Fresher's Party ‘Xuberance-2019’ at IIS University
Anvi Sharma & Anuradha Dasani crowned Miss Fresher 2019
28th August 2019: Jaipur: Before things got studious and routine, the seniors of IIS (Deemed to be University) organized an uber cool freshers’ party for their juniors. The young new sparks of the university donning colourful traditional attires received overwhelming welcome by their seniors at fresher’s party ‘Xuberance 2019’ organized on Wednesday at university back lawns.
Vibrant ambience and impeccable mood had made the day of everyone present on the occasion. After seeking blessings from lord Gamesha, the program commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Ashok Gupta, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, wherein he said that good education and guidance prepares the foundation of a promising future and the university provides opportunities to its students to express and hone their abilities and talents to the fullest.
Amalgamation of poise and elegance
Now, it was seniors turn to take over the stage and took the juniors to fun-filled and enthralling ride. The students of the university had set the stage on fire with their exuberant performances. The girls were at their best when they performed on foot-tapping numbers from Hollywood as well as Bollywood.
Peppy numbers from Bollywood such as it’s the time to disco made everyone grove. Freestyle dancing on popular Korean pop set the tone right for Freshers’ party.
Classical performance on latest Bollywood songs such as Gal Mithi-Mithi Bol, Ghar More Pardesiya stole the show. Juniors matched their foot step with seniors on hip-hop numbers.
On this fun-filled ride, seniors didn’t forget to represent their feelings for their country. Semi-classical performance on Ae-Watan and Teri Mitti got a lot of appreciation and applause from the audience.
Nightingales mesmerized with soulful music
Not to miss, nightingales of the university mesmerized audience with the welcome songs such as Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga, Le ja Le ja re, Happy Beginning, ye sham mastani and raat kali through which they melodiously told juniors that they keep special place in their hearts. With duet performance on Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta and Albela Sajan Aayo Re seniors made special place in the hearts of juniors.
Now, it was the time for most coveted Miss Fresher’s contest which began with great zeal and enthusiasm. Juniors took over the stage looking gorgeous in Indian attire to own the miss fresher’s crown.
The contest concluded in three rounds i.e. Introduction round, talent round and question and answer round. It was judged by
Ms. Shriya Pardel, Ms. Vinnie Kakkar and Ms. Kamna Tiwari.
Eventually, the results were announced and much deserving Anvi Sharma (B.Sc. (H)) for Under Graduate and for Post Graduate Anuradha Dasani MA English were crowned Ms Fresher of the year.
