IIS University and Rajasthan Govt. jointly organize Job Fair for women

Almost 2500 women candidates took part in job fair

27th September 2018: Jaipur: The IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur in collaboration with Labor and Employment Department, Govt. of Rajasthan has organized a Skill, Employability and Entrepreneurship Fair (Job Fair) on Thursday at the university campus. In this fair, not only university students have participated but unemployed women from all over Rajasthan were also benefitted.

To inaugurate the job fair, Tejaswini Gautam, IPS, Ranu Srivastava Nathani and Ngikya Gohain, IAS graced the occasion as chief guests. The inaugural session commenced with lamp lighting followed by the welcome address delivered by Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Mr. Mahesh Sharma, Assistant Director, Employment Office, Govt. of Rajasthan acquainted the gathering with aims and objectives and also introduced the different companies taking part in this fair.

Almost 50 government and private companies took part in this fair where they not only discussed the job opportunities they have come up with but also they have selected women candidates for further recruitment process. Around 2500 women candidates took part in this fair. Moreover, unemployed dependent women were acquainted with Berozgari Bhatta Yojna 2012 and self employment related various training programs organized by the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation.

While informing about the companies taking part in this fair, Dr. Shivi Saxena, Placement officer of the university said that this job fair is a mega event because as many as 50 government and private companies from different sectors such as banking, insurance, health, education, IT/computer, automobile, hotel, finance, BPO, fashion designing, retail etc took part in this fair.
