Mesmerizing Kuchipudi Dance performance at IIS University

Brass Plate Dance stole the show

23rd August 2019: Jaipur: IIS (Deemed to be University) has organized a Kuchipudi dance performance under the aegis of Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Among Youth (SPIC MACAY) by renowned performer Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu on Friday. With such programmes the SPIC MACAY society promotes Indian classical music, dance and culture among youths.

Meena Eluri was the supporting artist and co-dancer with Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu. P.srinivasulu was on Nattuvangam & vocal, P.Haranada Sastry on Mrudangam and Y.Purnachandrarao on Harmonium.

The programme commenced with Namaskara in Kuchipudi dance form through which Meena Eluri thanked God, parents and mother earth. Then she did Vinayak Stuti to seek blessings of the lord and requested to remove obstacles from the lives.

Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu with Meena Eluri performed Dasavatara in which they represented ten avatars of Lord Vishnu with hand gestures. In Kuchipudi Dance form a lot of emphasis is given to abhinay & Bhav. Nine kinds of emotions that are present in every human being are presented in this dance form.

The auditorium echoed with applaud as soon as Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu begins his scintillating dance performance depicting the Drauadi Cheer from Mahabharata.

Mesmerizing and thrilling Brass Plate dance which is an exceptional in Kuchipudi Dance form was kept for the last. The youngsters were totally enthralled by the amalgamation of his feet and brass plate.
