Two Days Management Fest "Prabandhotsav 2017"

A two days management fest “Prabandhotsav” kicks off

15 February 2017: Jaipur: The Department of Management Studies of The IIS University has organized a two-day Inter-Collegiate Management Fest “Prabandhotsav” on Wednesday. On the occasion, Mr. Alok Saini, Zonal Marketing Head, ICICI Bank was the chief guest on the occasion.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with enlightening words by the Vice-Chancellor of The IIS University, Dr. Ashok Gupta. Prof. M.K.Sharma apprised the august gathering with the aims and objectives of the fest.

“The fest will serve as a meeting ground by young, aspiring managers from renowned management institutions to conceptualize, innovate and implement their ideas and at the same time learn from their fellow participants,” he said.

He further added that the fest have been conceived and designed to enthrall, intrigue and mesmerize intelligent young minds.

While sharing his views and experiences to the participants, Mr. Saini focused on the qualities of budding managers that are looked for by the recruiters. He further said that the aspiring managers should inherit three qualities which are being smart, different and unique to nail the interviews and make their mark in the industry.

Various managerial activities and competitions have been organized to make this two days fest enthralling and entertaining. Different management institutes from the city have shown their presence in the fest and the competition organized during the event were judged by various personalities from different professions.

The first day of the event observed three activities which are Rural-La-Carte related to developing a strategy, object painting based Murals and Corporate Roadies- fun games based activity.

A total of 10 teams have participated in Corporate Roadies. Yash Aggarwal, Rohit Kumar Shah, Shashank Gupta and Nikhil Nair from Amity University stand out as winners while Kumkum Aggarwal, Diksha Motiyani, Komal Soni and Shourmica Bhargava from The IIS University bagged second position.

In Rural-La-Carte, a total of 5 teams have participated in which Deepika Rathore, Palak Kabra, Ambika Somani and Sunidhi Singh from Maheshwari Girls College emerged winners while Radhika Sharma, Yash Aggarwal, Minisha Lakhotia and Priyanka Lakhotia from Amity University stood at second.

The third competition of the first day of the fest was Murals – Object Painting which was won by Devika Shekhawat from The IIS University and Laxitha from Maheshwari Girls College stood at second. The theme of this activity was women empowerment and the participants have used acrylic colors on T-Shirt cutouts on ivory sheets.

The second day of the event will observe another set of fun-filling activities which includes BizzQuiz, Juke Box-Antakshari, Ad Selfie and Case Study.
