Youth Cultural Exchange Programme
Delegation from Palestine reached The IIS University
23rd May 2017: Jaipur: A 54 member delegation from Palestine reached The IIS University under the Youth Cultural Exchange Programme jointly organized by Rajasthan Youth Board, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Rajasthan and National Service Scheme of The IIS University on Tuesday.
The youth delegation was lead by Mr. Abu Isaa, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of Palestine along with two Palestinian team leaders Mr. Mahmoud and Ms. Qutaiba. While Mr. Bhupendra Saini, Chairman, Rajasthan Youth Board and State Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan graced the occasion with his esteem presence. Besides, Mr. K.C. Pahariya, Secretary, RYB, Mr. J.B. Singh, Regional Director, RYB and Mr. Komal Singh, Youth Officer, Regional Centre have also shown their presence on the occasion.
The program commenced with the welcome address delivered by Prof. Sharad Rathore, NSS Programme Officer, The IIS University. Some of the Palestinian youths expressed their experience about the visit to the country. Also, they shared a story to apprise everyone about their culture and diversity.
On the occasion, the foreigners enjoyed the cultural extravaganza presented by the students of the university. The Palestinian youth not only enjoyed the performances but they also took the stage to showcase their talent.
The delegates began with their country’s national anthem and later they showcased their culture through singing and dancing. Palestinian youth took everyone by storm with their charming performance.
Towards the end of the programme, youths from both the countries shared the similarities and differences their country possesses.
