The IIS University selected as a partner University in Tuning India
Tuning India,an Erasmus plus capacity building project, bring together 15 Indian Universities along with 5 European University partners to achieve excellence, expansion and equity in higher education areas of medicine, law, teacher education and ICT.
The project coordinated by Dr. Pablo Beneitone and Dr. Ivan Dyukarev is based on the results of a feasibility study launched by the European Commission through the Tuning Academy, University of Deusto in Cooperation with the Indian Government to contribute to the strategic objectives of reforming Higher Education in India.
Preserving the rich diversity of education has been paramount in the tuning project while considering the main challenges for internationalization of higher education. Academics, students, alumni employers and other relevant stakeholders from the country will be involved in the process of (re) designing degrees to make them learner centred, comparable and compatible as well as relevant for the society.The project is to be completed by October 2020.
Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Rector & Registrar, is the Contact Person for The IIS University and Dr. Sanjay Kedia, is representing the subject area of Education from The IIS University.
The Inaugural and the 1st General meeting was held at Bengaluru on 7-11 May 2018, in which the project environment was set up, Subject Area Groups (SAGs) were established, SAGs Coordinators were elected and the Partnership Agreement duly signed were collected. These implementing universities have to teach the programmes for no less than one semester within the project lifetime. The meeting also included training on Tuning Methodology and Consultation Process with Stakeholders.
The 2nd General meeting was held at Bilbao, Spain from 19-22 November 2018. This meeting validated the lists of competences and provided the training on Building Meta-Profiles.
The 3rd General meeting is scheduled in Jaipur from 24-27 March 2018 and will be organized by The IIS University.
